Test Shots
This is my two shot which is also a medium close up. I will consider
using a two shot on my product because the test shot working quite well.
It is a successful shot as it features more than one person, this gives the audience
more to look at. The framing of the shot alos works well as there is enough
room for an article either side of the image for my double page spread.
This is a long shot, although it has space for feature stories either side
and a header and a footer, it is perhaps too spacious; this is becsause the
person doesn't dominate the frame like they should do.
Therefore I will not be using a long shot for my product.
This is the group image, this works well in music magazines on
all front cover, contents page and double page spread, it is also the
perfect shot if there is a band with multiple people.
I will consider using a group image in my magazine if I use a band
or group for my artists.
This is a medium shot, this is a successful shot because the framing
involves plenty of room for feature stories and masthead etc.
I will consider using this shot n my final product as the image was a
success this time around.
This is a medium close up, this is a successful shot type
and is conventional for magazine covers, the shot has a lot
of room for feature stories and the masthead as well as showing
a clear shot of the artist. I will consider using this shot for my final
product as it will gain me marks for following traditional conventions.
This is a medium long/pose shot, this is probably the least
successful shot type of all of my test shots, this means I will
more than likely use this shot when creating my final product.
However, it will be considered for my double page spread.

Costume Ideas
These three costume are conventional to the hip-hip/rap genre and I will consider each one when creating my magazine. the artist on the front cover of my music magazine 'LEGACY' will more than likely be wearing on of these costume ideas; if not something very simalar. When putting these costume ideas together a researched a few artists of the hip-hop genre to see what types of clothing they wear. Some of the artists are 50 Cent, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross and The Notorious B.I.G. These are all successful artists withing the genre, therefore when picking out a costume for the artist in my magazine I will need to take into consideration what these successful aritsts wear.

Colour Schemes
'VIBE' magazine and 'XXL' are the existing magazines I am following the conventions of due to involving similar artists and using the same genre. This is why I am using their most used colour scheme, this is because the colours red, white and black are easily noticable when used with each other and also connote the same things as the genre. For example danger, passion, aggression and elegance.

Genre Moodboard
I created this genre moodboard to show xome artists included in the hip-hop genre, what they wear, what props are used. When researching I found out that the most commonly used prop amongst the genre is a gun. This suggests that the genre is aggressive amd dangerous. I also found out that the artists all wear the same types of clothes, the most common item of of clothing is a tank top. This is worn mostly by the black artists such as 50 Cent, Tpac and Jay Z with the exception of worlds most successful white rapper eminem.
The image on the bottom left suggests that the artists are in a group by the use of costume as they are all wearing the same outfit, the group being N.W.A (niggaz wit attitudes) and Dr.Dre being the stood out artist wearing a different colour cap and t-shirt. This suggests that he could be the leader of the group.

Digital Mock Up
As Iggy Azalea is the most recent female artist to make it big in the hip-hip/rap world and is also eye candy to a wide male audience.
Digital Mock Up
50 Cent is a big artist in the genre of hip-hop, this is why I have used him for one of my mock ups. The artist is featured in the centre of a red spotlight, this suggests his importance to the genre and his dominant personality.
The fact that the background behind him is red connotes danger, aggression and heat, all of which are suggested by the use of lyrics in his songs and the bulletproof vest he is wearing in the image. However, the colour could also symbolise the passion the artist has for music and the genre of hip-hop.
Digtal Mock Up
I chose this image because of the way the artist is positioned and the props that have been used. They are both significant to eachother as the crown suggests he was king of the hip-hop genre, furthermore the positioning of the artist reiterates his dominance of the genre.
I have used black for the masthead because it stands out over the red background, I chose yellow for the font because it matches the crown, this connotes wealth and power.
I will consider this when creating my final front cover because it is a conventional colour scheme.
